To activate FLIX, put the watch into Night-Mode by pressing and holding the Indiglo night-light button 3 seconds until it beeps. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds.
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. | | | Product Details: | | | Package Length:

Too bigAug 13, 2008 I love the timex Ironman watches, but cannot wear them anymore because I have started getting a rash from their resin bands. I was excited to see this one, because I thought the band was woven fabric, but only half of the band is, the other half against the skin is still the resin material, which doesn't work for me. Also, I have small wrists and the watch band was too big. The top loop part of the watch is stiff and inflexible, so it will only tighten to a certain point. So, I had to send this one back, but it does look nice on, so if you have medium to larger wrists it may work for you.

pinkyMay 04, 2008 This watch fits well, is easy to use, and does not cause the usual rash I get from watches, but it's PINK. Why does the entire athletic industry assume that women want everything to be PINK?

Timex, It Takes a Licking, but Keeps on TickingDec 29, 2007 I've always had this type of watch for running. It's just comfortable. The FLIX design is neat as well, but not as simple as a quick flick of the wrist. You have to make sure your hand hits one of the buttons when you flick otherwise you'll be a flicking fool.
Still, it's easy to read and looks good. The band is comfortable as well, but sometimes the extra velcro makes it hard to cinch up. There definitely could have been a better design concept to the band itself, but that's the only complaint.

Great watch!Sep 14, 2007 I have had many running watches over the years. I have spent $$$ on Polar heart rate and Nike watches and was most recently a big fan of the Timex Kids Triathlon watch because of it's size and simple functionality. This watch is easy to use, attractive and perfectly sized. My only complaint is once the band is fastened you need to slide the plastic band down to secure the band otherwise it can become un-velcroed. A silly complaint really and would order this watch again without reservation.

AwesomeSep 02, 2007 I love this watch, it has the plastic band mixed with the nylon one which makes it really comfortable, I don't even take it off when I go to sleep. This is my third time buying ironman watches and this one is really the most comfy of all. Also it has a lot of features (that I don't really use now) but I can see how helpful it would be if I ever decide to use them. I definetively would buy it again.
