Great Workouts, Great ToolJun 04, 2008 This is the "Fanny Lifter" from the FIRM. The workout DVD is broken up into 3 different workouts. Ab Sculpt, Body Sculpt (which is subdivided into upper and lower body sections) and Cardio Sculpt (which is subdivided as well). You can tell the DVD has been re-launched in new packaging because the music and the clothing in the video is a little dated. DO NOT LET THAT TAKE AWAY FROM THIS WORKOUT! Dated? A little. Tough and effective? You bet it is. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape, and the first time I did the Body Sculpt, I was sweating like crazy! All of the intructors are easy to follow, and gives cues really well. You will need 3 sets of weights, light medium and heavy. I will say this: These workouts are mostly sculpting, the cardio is not particularly hard. That aside, I've seen results super from these, I highly reccomend them!

I Have Been Transformed Into A "Firm Believer"!May 20, 2008 I have been doing this workout for about 3-4 weeks now and I truly see results. There are 3 workouts Cardio, Body, and Ab Sculpt. My favorite is Cardio Sculpt because I feel it gives you a very thorough workout from head to toe. I am noticing my muscles getting stronger, I have some definition in them also. I gave birth to my second son in October and gained some weight. Now since starting working out about 6-7 weeks ago I have done Tae Bo, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, and The Firm. Now I just do this, the firm sculpting ball, resistance bands and yoga. I also do tae bo every now and then. SO I rotate all these workouts, this one being the one I use the most because I feel and see the results. Now the first time doing these I was LOST, but after 3-4 times I was able to follow along. I have carpet so I the steps do not move for me, they are very sturdy however PAY ATTENTION when 1st doing them look down and make sure you are stepping onto the steps correctly. They have slip resistance on the steps in the video, mines were not like that. I am a beginner and was able to complete them the 1st time (I couldnt do all the leg work at 1st but I can now yea!). I feel this is a great way to challenge yourself and get great results. I am only using 2,3,and 5 lb weights and have gotten results from those, I havent moved up yet. For an experienced person I dont know if this would really challenge them unless they used heavier weights. Its more geared to beginners and intermediate in my opinion. I give it four stars because I feel they should slow down those really fast moves for beginners because it can be a lil frustrating at first to follow along but stick in there it's worth it.

I Firmly love it!!!Mar 27, 2008 I love this workout system. I premeasured my bust,waist,hips, and thighs before adding the firm sculpting system into my workout rotation. I did this system three times a week(Cardio Sculpt/Body Sculpt) with pure cardio 3 times a week and yoga 2 times a week. After 10 workouts of the firm I lost 10 pounds and a half inch in all the areas I premeasured. After another 10 workouts of the firm I lost additional 8 pounds and about another half inch in the areas I premeasured. I use 3,5,8,and 10 pound weights. Body Sculpt is the most challanging of the workouts. When you heavy up on the leg presses this workout gets your heart rate up. The only cueing part I mess up sometimes is on the lunges with the purple step when she say's step up, which she should say is step back because I always tend to step up on the step with my opposite foot. The only thing I wished they had in the Body Sculpt is abs like others have mentioned, but I just do an ab workout from my other videos. Cardio Sculpt is also good but, not a whole lot of cardio. In this workout there is a great glute excercises. Ab Sculpt is my least favorite of them. It is too long and I really didn't feel like I got a hard workout for the amount of time it is. I prefer no more than 10 minutes for my abs. I have only done this one twice. I really don't mind moving the fanny lifter around. Just keep your weights and fanny lifter close by and you shouldn't have a problem. I also love the fact you can always go up on the weights to keep your self challanged. I feel so much stronger after doing this workout system for over two months now. We recently put down a tile floor in our kitchen and I had no problem helping my hubby carry our stove out of the kitchen =) Happy Firming!!!

I love The FirmMar 18, 2008 This workout is the best. For the first week I could not finish it. But if you keep at it you can. I can now do all the workouts to the end. Now I do still sweat but I like that because it makes me feel like I am doing something. My body is getting toned. This item will work. You just have to push yourself. You can't go wrong with this one. Trust me, but you do have to do the work. Oh and the steps aren't as hard to get down as some of the others. Now I just have fun with it. I say try it. What do you have to lose expect fat.

Wonderful workoutMar 08, 2008 I've been using the firm workout video and step off and on for about six years. My husband made me my original set of steps. This workout video and step is much easier to use and it's very sturdy. I could see great results as well in just two weeks. Definitely worth buying.
