Great beginner videoJul 30, 2008 I think this video is great. She goes slow enought that you can follow her and keep up. I just tried another video and the girl went through the exercises so fast I could barely keep up and didnt get a good workout. I am a beginner so maybe thats why.
Feel the burnJul 21, 2008 I have been doing pilates for several years, and I bought this video to get in some different moves from the other ones that I have. I really like using the included resistance band. It heightens the workout and makes your muscles work much harder. Unlike some other pilates workouts I've done, the Firm video focuses a lot on the arms, butt, and thighs, but not as heavily on the core/abs. This is a positive for me, but may not be for others. Overall, I think it is a good workout that gives you good tone.
Love Pilates!Feb 18, 2008 This product is nice to add to your rest day if you want to work out but don't want too much impact but still want to strech and work those muscles.
Great Workout - Bad VideoSep 09, 2007 As someone who is VERY new to pilates, I've been reading up and actually doing various Dvd's from different instructors. In this video she moves through it way to fast for someone just begging, like myself. Also from what I've come to understand from other videos and reviews, its all about breathing and the position of your body, in this video she doesn't mention anything about the proper way to breath and very little about having the right positions. However after doing the video, and doing it all wrong I learned, I still felt the burn and pilates is by far the best workout routine I've tried to date.
Great workoutAug 23, 2007 I am rather new to Pilates, having only used a beginners Winsor Pilates only a few weeks prior to using this one. I have been using this workout for over a month now. I find this to be a great way of jumpstarting a healthy lifestyle of working out regularly. You can reasonably do this workout every day if not every other day, maybe twice a day if time permits. The workout is only 30 minutes long and it targets the arms, chest, midsection and legs (your thighs and bottom). I have seen results within just a matter of weeks. With a combination of healthy eating, this is a great way to watch your body transform before your very eyes. Even for those who are already in great shape, this is a great way of maintaining. A few people have given negative reviews about the quality of the workout... even making statements about someone smiling too much and looking into the camera. Who cares? Just focus on your own personal goal and keep it moving!
