4Great Bike bad packing materialsJun 02, 2008
Great solid bike that is silent, as far as the bike goes more than I expected. It is soundless no clicking noises smooth operation. My opinion is the people that have clicking choppy bikes are either damaged or assembled wrong somehow. I was expecting some noise but I can't hear anything at all except a very slight motor noise on tension changes. I bought the bike to ride while I watch movies and this has worked out great.

I was 6' 240lbs when I bought this bike I have long legs and I clear the handle bars at any adjustment setting. anyone having clearance issues have giraffe legs, the handle bars and the seat both adjust towards and away from each other along with the seat height adjustment. I'm down to 220lbs now but the bike was solid and sturdy for me at 240lbs no side to side movement at all. I'm guessing people having balance issues ride like the person in this video or haven't tightened the fasteners. [...].

Seat seems hard but being as big as I am I not going to complain about it If it's still uncomfortable under 200lbs I'll just change it out, seat mount has a standard bike seat post so any bicycle seat will fit it.

About SHIPPING WOW cheapest cardboard I have ever seen along with Styrofoam as solid as a cotton ball. Box was severely mutilated with about 3" of one corner completely missing. Cardboard is so weak you can poke your finger through anywhere you choose. All the styrofoam inside was broken into baseball sized pieces or smaller. I figured there was no way the bike would work and I'd be doing the return dance. Only damage in the end was to a slight break in the joints of the main plastic cover. Everything else wasn't touched.

Conclusion: I love the bike, Silent, solid if you tighten the fasteners completely and ride like a normal person. I gave 4 stars only because of the packaging Schwinn really needs to look into the quality of the materials.

5Great bike.Mar 31, 2008
We bought this bike not knowing what to expect. This bike has gone above and beyond our dreams. First off the bike is beyond quiet. You simply can't hear it. We did have a weird noise from the pedal that another customer wrote. A simple removal and screwing the pedal back on solved that instantly. Second, we love the options that came with this bike. For the money I defy you to find a better deal!

5I LOVE it already!!Mar 15, 2008
Schwinn 130 Upright Exercise Bike I assembled this bike this morning and it was EASY and I usually HATE to assemble things. We have a Schwinn Airdyne but I don't want that much of an upper body workout, so I decided on this model after MUCH shopping around. The Schwinn name is one we already trusted from previous purchases. The bike is so easy to use and it's absolutely SILENT! It has a very sturdy feel. The seat is easy and quick to adjust, so my 11 year old daughter used it after I did. We're going to put LOTS of miles on this bike! And-- maybe the best part-- Amazon's price blew everybody away!!!

4Pleased with bike, surprised at other reviewsFeb 22, 2008
We bought this before we read the Amazon reviews, and I was a bit surprised at them. We saw it at a couple of sporting goods stores and tried it out several models before deciding to purchase one. Several were cheaper in price and felt so in construction. My husband is a TALL man, and this was one of the few that didn't see too top-heavy when he was on it. Also, some of the other models were so poorly designed that his knees hit the handlebars while peddling.

Assembly was easy. I have Rheumatoid arthritis, and I was able to assemble it with help only on the seat area (couldn't get the bolt tight enough to keep the seat from moving on my own).

There has been none of the "knocking" that one user reported on ours, and the programs/control panel seem to function properly.

It is very quiet to operate, and could probably be used in a room where another is sleeping.

I must agree, however, the box it came in is more suited to a toy cycle. It was raining when it came and by the time it got from the truck to the front door and in the foyer, it was literally falling apart (made it easy to get the parts out of it, though).

While my experience is still new with this item, I must say that it is a positive one (just not with the box).

1Garbage!Jan 31, 2008
When the bike came the main unit housing was broken in two places and did not fit properly -- I never even set it up. Amazon sent a replacement, which I did set up, but the flywheel is clearly rubbing and thus the pedals can barely be turned, with a loud scraping noise, and of course no programs work. I am not sure if the bikes were ever made properly but clearly the shipping boxes are inadequate. The result is that the buyer gets heavy (about 80 pound) garbage that you have to repack yourself to send back to Amazon. A complete and total rip-off.
