» Weight Benches | | | | | | | Description: | | All flat benches may look similar, but looks can be deceiving. In the case of the Powertec Flat Bench Plus, they're downright dishonest. Engineered with a sleek silhouette and heavy-duty construction, the bench's most distinguishing feature is its low-to-the-ground profile, which guarantees easy access to dumbbell training. As a result, it's a breeze to pick up or lower heavy weights from the ground, making your workouts far safer and more effective. Even better, the bench offers incline and decline positions, so you can tone your upper and lower pecs as well. And thanks to the rear wheels, you can quickly move the bench from one location to another. The Flat Bench Plus, which measures 24 by 15 by 48 inches (W x H x D), offers a weight capacity of 600 pounds and carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, two years on component parts (such as bearings and spring pins), and one year on pads, grips, and unspecified parts. | | | Features: | |

Good quality solid benchJun 13, 2008 This is a good quality bench. The parts are heavy duty and the mechanism for raising and lowering the bench is solid. Overall, it is very attractive and and pad seems to be well built.
Construction was easy with just a couple of wrenches. I was missing a couple of small parts but the manufacturer sent me some new ones without any problems in a couple of days.
My only complaint is that the cylindrical leg pads are mounted so close to the bench that it can be awkward to get your feet/legs behind them to do incline crunches. Otherwise I'm very happy with it and consider it good value for money, especially with the free shipping.

very pleased, great bench for the price!Nov 16, 2007 Very easy to assemble because of step by step manual. After 30 minutes, this bench looked so good I had to put it in my bedroom. My wife didn't mind. It's low and compact, you can barely notice it. Don't let the size fool you. It's nicely heavy because of it's 2 x 3 inch 12 gauge frame. The pad is thick and wide, better than at the gym! I also really like it's incline and decline feature. I can hook my ankles and do decline crunches for upper abs and incline leg crunches for my lower abs. When in the flat position, it's about a foot and half off the ground so very easy for heavy dumbbell presses. This really go well with my Powerblocks. Prior to this, I purchased a Body-Solid FID bench for twice the price, but ended up selling it due to it's high seating. Very uncomfortable to grab dumbbells off the ground. Lucky for me, I bought this Powertec bench from Amazon when there was a significantly big price drop on these.
