4Works great. Sturdy. Not flimsy. Jan 22, 2008
It's well built. Really solid. I wish the pads for the ankles are adjustable. At 5'6" the pads ride up to my heels when doing the back of my legs. The T-bar for doing preacher curls is also awkward. The arc of motion does not give me a smooth motion. If the length was adjustable, it would be perfect.

5Great Bench for the PriceJan 14, 2008
This is a great bench for the price. In fact, it would be a great bench at twice the price. It arrived as promised and was very easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and all the parts fit as stated. It is well made and sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase.

3Worth the $100 w/free shipping but bicep curl function is useless.Aug 25, 2007
I purchased this item for use with the bowflex selecttech dumbbells. My thinking was that, for $100 dollars, I could use it for a incline/decline/flat bench and any other functions were a bonus. Assembly was relatively easy for me. The large welded parts were slightly misaligned but that did not affect functionality. Once assembled, I discovered that the bicep curl function was useless because the best range of motion I could achieve was from having my arm bent at 45 to 50 degrees and then curl the bar to my face (90 degrees). I am 6'1" with long arms so you will probably gain more range if you are shorter. The only bicep curl adjustment was on the elbow pad which had three settings in the vertical direction. The back pad has four settings: vertical (90degrees), angled (45 degrees?), flat and decline (-20 degrees). This seemed adequate for my chest exercises. I have not use the leg curl since I have no plate weights but there is a lock on it so it will keep my legs in place while doing other exercises. The pads are firm, comfortable and look nice. The frame has been really stable for what I have been doing with it and it is relatively light weight. I can easily pick it up and move it around. It is definitely worth the money if you don't need the built in curl bar.

3Good bench if all the parts were right.Jul 25, 2007
I bought this bench for the bicep curl and the leg developer. It arrived on time, however, there was a slight issue. The back support beams do not align correctly and almost halted the process of assembly. I had to improvise to get the bench fully assembled. This is no fault of [...] though, I contacted them and they gave the contact info of where they got the bench for( as I was requesting just the back supports; I dont want to return this due to the hassle of returning something this big and heavy). I have not had time to pursue the matter, and I am probably going to let it go, as after improvisation, the bench does what it is supposed to.

I do have to say that the bench is a little higher then normal gym benches, so some exercises like concentrations feel a little unnatural. Other than that, it is a good comfortable bench.

4It's worth itJul 18, 2007
Shipping was quick, not damaged and all the screws came with it. I call that a good day.

This is a bargain model. It has no barbell rest and the leg pads don't adjust for your height. Some folks may find themselves in uncomfortable positions using the leg gear. I'm 5'10" and it works well enough. This machine doesn't fold up in any way for storage.

For those that will need 200+ pounds of weights and anyone very short or tall, I'd say skip this machine, it isn't adjustable or sturdy enough.

For the majority of casual lifters who want to do some dumbell and leg work (and the occasional sit up) this machine will work well.
