4Good product, good price.Apr 01, 2008
The mat is a great find. The 85 inches are all used, and the price was lowest on Amazon!

5happy with this matMar 26, 2008
It's like they claim. Nice n soft yet firm enough to keep your hips, elbows etc. from hurting against the floor. Nice product and it looks of quality as well.
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior over all.

5Perfection!Feb 08, 2008
This is the perfect mat for me. Im 6'4" finally a mat my whole body can lay on. I no longer have to touch the carpet during Bikram's Hot Yoga! I also luv that the mat does not absorb sweat, leaving the towel to do its job. By the next day I am off to yoga with a dry fresh mat!

4I already know I like this matJan 17, 2008
I started doing yoga recently, and the first order of business was to find a mat so I didn't have to stand on the hard floor, slip around on a towel, or use a mat at the gym that people sweated all over.

I thought I could find something for around $20, but there was nothing that seemd to fill my needs. I'm 6'3" so I needed something long. Nothing squishy. Nothing paper thin. Nothing that would fall apart after a few uses.

But >$80? Who was I kidding? But after a lot of thought I realized I'd probably go through 4 $20 mats and still end up buying this one. So I swallowed hard and bit the bullet. It came today, and I'm glad I did.

This is a well made mat of heavy, high density rubber material. They say it won't slip, and I'm sure it won't. It doesn't have some nice peaceful design on it, but I can live with that. It also isn't some bright gaudy color either. Plain black with the Manduka label/logo in one corner.

Now I just have to forget the exorbitant price and move on.

I'm pleased (but poorer) with this purchase.

5Great mat! I would recommend it for anyone who is 5'10"+ and serious about yoga.Jan 07, 2008
This mat provides that extra length for the person who is 5'10" or taller. I am 6' and it gives me the space to get into longer positions like warrior 2 and crescent pose without having to constantly center myself on the mat. Especially good for shavasana at the end of practice where I don't have to rest my heels on the wood floor of the studio. The thickness and durability are also great for sitting positions, especially ab positions where you are balancing on your tail bones. Great for bad knees as well. I have a long yoga mat topper because my hands get sweaty and lose grip in down dog, I would recommend washing the mat before use but other than that I love it and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Namaste.
