 Not very happy...Jun 09, 2008
Purchased this unit 14 mos ago. Steel frame just cracked. And I weigh about 280lbs (well below the 350 that it says it supports) Warranty only good for 12mos. I will keep you posted on customer service experience.
 Nice quiet workoutApr 29, 2008
Unlike the eliptical that recently died on us, this unit is very quiet. But it sacrifices a bit in the workout. You can add tension and your workout will be great if you only workout in bursts of 15 minutes or so, but the longer you go the easier it gets. The tension lessens after awhile.
On my old eliptical I would workout for about 45 minutes and it would be a consistant workout, but with the gazelle I usually go for about 20 or 25 minutes before it just feels pointless to continue and I move on to do situps or something else for the remainder of the time.
That being said it is great for 20 minute workouts, it is ultra quiet and at a fraction of the cost of a good eliptical.

From someone who didnt do any working out for years this machine is really fun and easy to do. I find it a good workout and use mine about 3-4 times a week. been using it for about 3 weeks and lost about 5 lbs. its a tad bit different then the elliptical but you can work out so many different parts of your body. i do find it a good begginers machine for those of you who just wanna add a lil excersise to your weekly routine.

It took a little work to get it put together, but it was worth it. I have a hard time staying motivated to diet and excercise, but this certainly took away my excuses. It is quiet and the gliding motion is fun. I use some of the techniques from the video and try to lean forward and back and change the pace to get a better work out. The resistance settings are pretty hard, and if I had it to again, I would just buy the one without the resistance that can fold up.

I love my Gazelle! It only takes 30 minutes a day, and you can really feel and see the results. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a lot of time to spend working out, but needs some cardio in their life.
The only problem I have encountered so far is the difficulty in changing the resistance levels. This is a minor inconvenience, and would not prevent me from making this purchase again.
