This exercise bike does exactly what I was looking for....Mar 31, 2008 The seat is very uncomfortable, and there are no gears in case I might want to challenge myself.Going to put all that aside and try to get the best work out I can,,,,Here comes the Summer....
exercise bikeJan 25, 2008 I am really happy with it the best thing I like about it, it tells me how many calories I have burned up, it was easy to assemble and I was surprised how fast I received it, it only took 3 days to get it. The only thing I don't like about it, I wish there was a way to adjust the tension on it.

A Great Exercise BikeApr 07, 2007 The Excel 286 took about an hour and a half for me to assemble, and it gave me a better workout than the Edge 386 did. It does have some resistance, but the resistance level was perfect for me. This bike has a small on-board computer that displays how many calories you have burned and the distance you have traveled. What I like most about this bike is that it's lightweight, it's an upright bike, and it has moveable handle bars that you can use if you want to work out your upper body. This bike will give you a good workout. You will get a better workout from this bike than from a standard bike that you use outside. It does make some noise. That's because it's a fan bike. How much noise does this bike make? Plug a box fan into a wall socket sometime. The sound is similar to that. The fan blades are necessary because they create the air resistance while you pedal the bike. You could buy a more expensive bike with magnetic resistance. Bikes with magnetic resistance are usually quieter than fan bikes, but the resistance doesn't feel natural on some of them. I bought the Edge 386 exercise bike two years ago. Pedaling the Edge 386 feels like I am working out on a machine rather than riding a bike outside. Many people get sick of exercising because they don't know how to exercise. They go to gyms and kill themselves by working out for two or three hours. That's ridiculous. Get on this bike and attempt to burn no more than 200 calories. You can do that in less than twenty minutes, and you will never be out of shape if you do that every day. I've tried many different types of exercise over the years. I think biking is the best exercise you can get.

Good for under $100Feb 01, 2007 For $99, this is a great bike. The ride isn't as smooth as I would like (though it's not bad), the seat is a little uncomfortable and I'm pretty sure the computer system isn't accurate (the timer is fine), but...again- it was $99. I would recommend this exercise bike to beginners or someone who doesn't plan on using this product on a daily basis.
If you're looking for something more from a bike, you're going to have to spend more. But if you're on a tight budget and need a low-impact workout, then this may be the product for you.
